Recently I shot a portrait shoot for friend name Abel. He s a drummer who is very talented, so it was interesting finding how to shoot him. I decided to shoot him outdoors in a park field. Living in New Jersey means a lot of fields!
We met at around 11am and started from there. I decided not to bring any lights it was beautiful outside. I took with me a reflector and diffusor.
I shot using my Canon 5d Mark II and a Promaster 5in1 reflector.
I took along with me an assistant, or better yet a human light stand.
This is one of the final images of Abel we created.
We placed him in the center of the field with the sun to his right.
The camera was set to: F/4, ISO 200, 1/500.
I used the my assistant with a diffuser to Abel’s right to block some light out.
( Must ad, this photo is quite funny)
I hope you enjoyed this BTS. Expect more to come in the future.
